How the Site Works

The MSI events site is powered by a service called Photoshelter, which is being used to store and sell personal use licenses for the photographs taken by the Mundo Sport Images photographers. Some of the pages integrated into this site are run through Photoshelter, so do not be alarmed if the address bar suddenly reads some variation of photoshelter.com

Costs and terms of use

In most cases, hi-res digital versions of the photographs with a personal use license are being sold for$15 each. A personal use license is pretty much what it sounds like -- you can use the photograph yourself for non-commercial purposes. That means that once you have purchased and downloaded the high-res jpeg of the image you can make as many prints as you want for yourself, family, and friends. You can also use it on your own website or facebook. A third party, however, may not make use of the image under this license. (Arrangements can be made for additional uses.)

How to find an image

To find a photograph enter an athlete name and event in the search boxes that your find on each of the main pages. Or, if you prefer, browse through the galleries for the events we have covered. Once you have found the image you want, simply sign up for your free account with Photoshelter and select the photographs you want for your lightbox.

How to purchase an image

Once you have placed the images you want in your lightbox, click the link to the check out. Payment must be made through Paypal. If you do not have a Paypal account, do not worry -- you will be able to pay through the secure Paypal server with your Visa or Mastercardand.

How to get the purchased images

Once your payment is processed by Paypal, Photoshelter will send you an email with an invoice and a link that is active for 72 hours. You must use this link to download the hi-res jpegs onto your personal computer. All of the instructions you need will be on the screen when you follow the Photoshelter link.

If you do not receive an email from Photoshelter

Check your junk mail or spam folder. Some email servers will divert Photoshelter’s automatically generated download instruction email to the junk mail/spam folder.

Prints and pictures on cd

We are using the Photoshelter system because it is the quickest, most efficient, and least costly sales and distribution system for you and for us. If you request we can get the prints made for your or burn images to a cd and mail them out to you. Just keep in mind that we will also bill you for the time that it takes us to do this, plus the shipping and handling. Frankly, this is the least cost effective option for you.
